"When you are young, you are a democrat because you have a heart. But when you get to be older, you have a check book, you have responsibilities. So you came to vote with Republicans. But as I get older, I start, and especially now, with foreclosure, I start thinking more about just the personal side of it." -- Time Podcast, Facing Foreclosure in Tampa
The sentiment is a perpetual spell for the human race. And it is not difficult to see the political stand of the author in this book. He shows sympathy for Democrats and criticized the Republicans. But it is quite self-evident that the Iraq war cannot be called as a "war". A person with common sense can tell without reading this book. It is simply an "attack" by the US army into Iraq. It is also applicable to the long-lasting feud and conflicts between Israel and Palestine. I wonder when the peace will come to the Middle East. Perhaps when the US is no longer a world super power.
