I watched it again today. Last time it should be a decade ago at least! At the time I didn't know who Colin Firth was. 2008 in Easy Virtue, Colin Firth and Kristin Scott Thomas played husband and wife again. But this time, it is Colin Firth that leaves her for another woman. And the movie start my interest in Herodotus's "History", especially about the story of winds.
整個場景的調度，畫面的設計，只能說太讚了（還有Gabrial Yared）。我沒看過小說，但電影本身就是很完整，獨立的作品，有自己的生命。話說回來，裡面有幾個橋段還是太浮濫了，好比Hanna沿著Kip排放的蠟燭走到小倉庫，實在非常累贅。
一篇影評。有些影評大篇幅描寫本片中豐富的「意象」與「隱喻」。然而從過去我就比較不偏好此類評論。閱讀過程中還得隨時審視作者是否淪入「過度詮釋」的框柩中，十分不暢快。

Our book club went to "La Crema" today. And we talked about Michael Jackson. One guy said he really felt like dancing to his music even thougn he's not a fan of MJ. At the same time, the stereo was humming Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable". I wonder how many people there knew "what" Nat King Cole is and ever heard of this song. But... it is the enduring, nostalgic music that touches my heart.
