Becoming Jane (2007) & Misc.

Just finished Penelope (finally) and The Last Station (Helen Mirren is awesome). But what I wanna say is that I can never be tired of watching him. I really wish I can still see something as good as Atonement with him in it. Wavy hair & blue eyes, even the freckles are really charming btw.

I like to see the characters he plays end up happily ever after rather than die or separated from his loved ones in the end. Yet he plays the melancholic temperament so heartbreakingly well and I couldn't think of anyone else as good as he is in this respect.

I really like this shot with MF. I've always found the relationship between Xavier & Magneto intriguing. They don't share the same view and destined to be archenemies but at the same time cherish each other and what they once had together. Perhaps this is something close to what is called noble?

I watched "Becoming Jane" only for the sake of JM. I was reluctant to watch it earlier as I had no idea he was a part in it and mainly because Anne Hathaway plays Jane Austen. However, it turned out the choice of Anne as JA to be not that terrifying. She is very lovely; she portrays the feelings for her first and one true love very nice, and they have good chemistry together, though Anne still seems a bit too vibrant for this role, just as the way she has been in most of her acting.
Anyway, the point is still JM.... He is just the perfect actor for this part, as I read in one interview: " 'We wanted someone who didn't come across as an out-and-out womanising cad, but someone with charm – a thoroughly nice guy, not a rotter.'" I practically MELT when he speaks the line "I am yours; I am yours heart and soul!" and would like to yell YES when he says: "Run away with me!" Who can possible say no to such a guy like James McAvoy?! I really wish the film could stop where they run hand in hand towards the future into the light. But I believe this is only because it is they play the parts. There might have been no Sense & Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, and the other JA's great novels if Jane Austen and Judge Lefroy had really got married back then.
Oh! I really can't take my eyes off him.
