前陣子經由黃世宜老師的分享接觸到這系列介紹啟蒙時代的影片，非常精彩。
正好最近腦海也出現了與啟蒙時代相關的念頭：台灣有許多社會現象都不禁讓我懷疑，這個地方是否還沒經過啟蒙時代的洗禮呢？
"What are the things we value most about our modern world?"
"Freedom, to enjoy ourselves, to argue and discuss, to express our views, to find things out, to read and write, and the science and technologies to make these possible"
特別是這段話：「宗教信仰向理性論證屈服，貴族的力量則為知識的力量所汰換」（"...religious faith yielded to reasoned argument, and the power of aristocracy gave way to the power of knowledge"），正是最近台灣時事最好的照妖鏡，好比那位什麼都「假的、業障很重」的大法師，或是光怪陸離的海外金融機構帳目不清的事件，各種環評、建設弊案，族繁不急備載。
當然歐洲社會也是歷經兩三百年的各種抗爭，才發展成今天的型態，或許對台灣也不該如此妄自菲薄，要多給一些時間？
（只是仍不免惋惜，前車之鑑就在眼前，台灣社會還要走多少冤枉路？）
