I think I need to keep track of what happened today because it should not be so commonly seen here in Germany, or is it?
Very early in the morning, I was waken up by yelling and wailing that shouldn't have existed at such an improper moment. I was not sure if it was just a dream or something else that really happened just outside of the door. And it really did. It was a neighbor, a woman, I guess in her twenties, with light-brown, long, strait hair. She wailed and looked so emotionally unstable. She refused to go back to her apartment, kept saying she was beaten and insisted for the police. She really yelled so loud that neighbors from other floors all came up, still in their pyjamas or even only underpants. But all could not stop her until the police finally showed up.
It was the first time I was so close to a scene, not really a scene of violence, but on the verge of insanity. I took a bit pity for the woman, even though I know nothing about her and what really happened behind their door. I could not even recall having ever seen her around in the neighborhood.
It was still a special way to be waken up after all, and hopefully this was a single case and won't happen again. The kids were also terrified.
