This is a song I would feel sad everytime when listening to it. This is especially so when it starts at the end of the movie "Prime" (2005). Just learned from a blog that this song has got at least 40 different versions. And there are other movies using this song as well. Can you smile and sing this song to a lover that is leaving? I know I can't.

I Wish You Love
Albert A. Beach / Charles Trenet
Goodbye, No use leading with our chins,
This is where our story ends,
Never lovers, ever friends.
Goodbye, Let our hearts call it a day,
But before you walk away,
I sincerely want to say:
I wish you bluebirds in the Spring,
To give your heart a song to sing;
And then a kiss, but more than this I wish you love.
And in July, a lemonade,
To cool you in some leafy glade;
I wish you health and more than wealth, I wish you love.
My breaking heart and I agree
That you and I could never be,
So with my best, my very best, I set you free.
I wish you shelter from the storm,
A cozy fire to keep you warm;
But most of all, when snowflakes fall,
I wish you love.
I wish you bluebirds in the Spring,
To give your heart a song to sing;
And then a kiss, but more than this I wish you love.
And in July, a lemonade,
To cool you in some leafy glade;
I wish you health and more than wealth, I wish you love.
My breaking heart and I agree
That you and I could never be,
So with my best, my very best, I set you free.
I wish you shelter from the storm,
A cozy fire to keep you warm;
But most of all, when snowflakes fall,
I wish you love.

我怎麼比較有如果你要離開的時後,有人微笑對你說這些話,你還離的開嗎,我想我可能無法吧
