ただ、君を愛してる

Should I say the story is very simple? A girl with a rare disease and met a boy who did not realise his feeling until it's too late?

There is nothing new about the scenario, but the story is told in a delicate way and not at all boring. It starts at the middle of the time line, when the boy was going to visit the girl after two years apart. On his way, scenes in the past came back to his mind, and viewers little by little know more about them. Two threads of time merge at the end of story, and reach its climax. Perhaps why I like the story is because love is told in a very inconspicuous way. There is no need to show off, cry out love for someone. Love is not only sensational feelings. It should be something that can touch deep down inside. At one scene, the boy dressed up for the wedding show in a bollowed suit. He had been bothered by some skin irritation. In the middle of the show, he suddenly felt uncomfortable because of his skin problem, and he was very anxious. The dress was borrowed and he did not remember to carry his ointment with. However, when he hid inside men's room and got clueless, he found the very familiar little jar in the pocket and was so moved. It was the girl that silently left it in his pocket. Even the boy just treated her like a sister, and was going with another girl, she could still love the boy in everyway that could be best for him.

It is not saying that one shouldn't express true feelings to loved ones in a high-profile way, sending bouquets of flowers, expensive jewelry or valuables. But passion is only one part in a relationship. A long and lasting love runs very deep and very beautiful. I never believe building a pompous graveyard for a dead wife is a way of true love. It is only showing-off. So tacky, actually.
